A-SPEC Community

The A-SPEC Community comprises a growing community of 65+ government and utility agencies across Australia using the A-SPEC standard specifications. The National Growth Areas Alliance (NGAA) has identified 31 councils as the fastest growing councils in Australia, and 17 of these have identified A-SPEC as their preferred method of engagement with industry.

A-SPEC has an active community of 600+ users across public and private sector organisations, including many consultants and technology companies registered as active users and service providers complying with the requirement to provide A-SPEC compliant data.

Any modification or enhancement to any of the A-SPEC specifications is controlled by clear governance arrangements and change management protocols that include consultation with the A-SPEC Community. This collective approach to the specifications ensures all consortium members' interests are taken into account in the specification evolution process. Enhancements are driven by the user Community for the user Community.
