A-spec

B-Spec reference material

Now that B-Spec has moved to A-SPEC Version 5.

As with all the A-SPEC specifications, start with the A-SPEC Introduction & Overview Requirements document — it covers the shared rules that apply across every data specification, so B-Spec should always be read alongside it.

Together, they'll guide you through compliant data requirements for:

  • new subdivision developments
  • capital works projects
  • projects involving the capture of existing assets

Curious what's changed? Section 6 — Summary of Specification Changes has the full log. Both documents are ready to download now.

Worth knowing:

  1. These are the current, required versions as of 4 September 2023.
  2. The updated Code List can be used straight away.
